Practical information

Schedule

The conference will start on Monday (June 16) in the morning and will end Friday (June 20) around noon. Wednesday (June 18) afternoon will be devoted to the social program and conference dinner.

Accommodation

While we do not recommend a particular list of hotels, we encourage participants to pick one in the city center, close to the Tram B line (see next section), hence close to one of the stops "Gambetta", "Hôtel de Ville" (best for direct airport connection) or "Grand Théâtre". Note that in Bordeaux, Airbnb usually offers a decent ratio quality/price compared to hotels.

Transportation

The easiest way to reach the conference venue is using the tram, line B which connects, among other things, the historical city center to the campus. IMPORTANT: the tram network will undergo major works this summer, including the period of the conference. Luckily, they do not affect line B nor the Airport <-> Hotel de Ville connection on line A. But keep this in mind if you decide to pick an accommodation or have sightseeing plans outside of the city center. Also, it will affect you if you try to reach the city center from the train station. If that's the case, take bus line G and switch to tram B at stop "Victoire".

Tickets can be purchased at vending machines which are present at pretty much all tram stations but to avoid lines (especially at the airport), we recommend using the TBM app on which you can directly purchase tickets, which can then be validated via your phone in the tram (see "how it works" section of the app page).

From the tram stop "Bethanie", getting to LaBRI is only a 5-minute walk, see here.

Internet access

We should be able to provide all participants with internet access inside the LaBRI building. However, using eduroam if you have access to it is a preferable option as it will give you internet access on the whole campus.
